The mailing list is only open for members of the lists. Posts by non-members are simply discarded. This means that if you post to the list from another address than the one you are registered with, your e-mail will silently be discarded by the system.

Whenever you post a message, you, as a member of the list, will receive a copy of your own email. You will in other words get an indirect confirmation of success, but no explicit warning about failures.
