The database and distributed systems research group is part of the Department of computer and information science (IDI), which is the principal computer science department at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway. The technology part of NTNU was formerly known as the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH).
These web pages provide information about the people in our group, outline our present courses and present our current research activities. In addition, you can find information regarding some of our past research projects, as well as a fairly complete overview of the publications that has been produced during the years.

Professor Kjell Bratbergsengen is head of the Department of Computer and Information Science, and being employed at NTNU since 1968, he can truly be considered a computer veteran. During the years he has been interested in databases, filesystems and operating systems, among other things. Currently his main research interest is database internals.
Prof. Bratbergsengen has the formal responsibility for master theses in computer science and technology, and currently he is also responsible for the course DT8102 Databasesystemer, videregående kurs.
