Visiting Sverresborg

Visiting Sverresborg

Wednesday 16th of June, the Data and Information Management (DIF) section visited Sverresborg Folk Museum. The evening at Sverresborg was spent both learning about the Norwegian history, and dining together.

In the one hour guided tour we were shown the oldest stave church in Norway, and an old catholic church, as well as learning about old farm buildings and tools. We also sneak peaked into the history of wedding traditions and gifts. The guide had some great stories of how superstition had shaped the design of both churches and beds.

The evening continued at Tavern, where dinner and dessert was served along with conversations and a portion of good mood :-)
