Today, the new national supercomputing facility Njord was officially opened by NTNU's Rector Torbjørn Digernes. Njord, an IBM p575+ computer which delivers a peak performance of 7,5 TeraFLOPS, will be a central resource for computational intensive research at NTNU.
In the photo, we see Rector Digernes, Associate Professor Anne Elster and CEO IBM Norway Morten Torkildsen just after Njord was opened.
Anne Elster is Director of Infrastructure, Program for Computational Science and Visulisation at NTNU.
