PARA 2008 in Trondheim

The PARA 2008 workshop is arranged in Trondheim from 13th to 16th of May. The main theme of the workshop is State-of-the-Art in Scientific and Parallel Computing. Workshop topics include algorithms, software, tools, environments and applications for Scientific Computing, High Performance Computing, Parallel Computing, Grid Computing, and Computer Simulations including Interactive and Scientific Visualization.

PARA 2008 hosted more than 190 presentations and five tutorials, with participants from more than 30 countries attending. The keynote, Large-Scale Scientific Visualization, with Chris Johnson from Utah was open to all at NTNU and was be held in R1 from 08:30 - 09:15 at 14th of May. Presentations from the workshop sponsors was also be open to all.

13th of May started with the tutorials. The official workshop opened at 18:00 o´clock with a concert at the Nidaros Cathedral, followed by a reception hosted by Trondheim City at the Archbishop's Palace.
