Åsmund Eldhuset, a computer science student at our department, has won the IT Student of the Year award, 2008. The award was given to Åsmund at the annual Universum Awards ceremony. This year it was awarded by Fast.
Each year the award is given to a student who has shown initiative, creativity, and enthusiasm. The candidates for the price are nominated by their fellow students, and in the end Fast selected the winner from the top rated nominees. It is the third year in a row that the price goes to a NTNU student.
Eldhuset has competed in both national and international programming contests, and he has lectured for his fellow students, as well as participated in student activities.
