Supporting Medical CoOperation

The CoOperation Support Through Transparency project, where associate professor Pieter Jelle Toussaint is project leader, has received 23.3 million NOK in funding from the Research Council of Norway.

The project goal is to develop computer systems and application prototypes which will aid medical personell in treatment of patients. The project will be run in close cooperation with St. Olav hospital and is a StorIKT-project in the VERDIKT programme.

The main technical challenges lies in the complexity of such systems, which should have very high usability and at the same time be able to immidiatly respond to changes in patient condition, or delays in treatment sequences.
