Winner of BEKK's IxD Conference Grant 2009

Lars Kristian Flem, a 5th year informatic student at our department, has won the 2009 IxD conference grant from BEKK. Lars gets to travel to the IxDA Interaction 09 conference held in Vancouver Canada, from 5th - 8th of February.

Lars' application showed that he is skilled and motivated within the interaction design research field. The knowledge sharing Lars does at his blog also contributed to the decision. His blog, tenketing.net, has aquired a lot of readers. In his blog he discusses current challenges in interaction design, and often he reflects on the everyday life of a student.

When Lars travels with BEKK's consultants to the conference, he will get a unique chance to discuss interaction design with specialists from around the world. Hopefully Lars brings home new knowledge and perspectives.

Ever since BEKK was funded they have awarded an annual conference grant to a student. This year there were several excellent student candidates from NTNU, NITH, and AVO who applied for the grant. The grant of 20 000 NOK covers all expences for participation at a conference.
