ArTe: A Digital Art Contest

ArTe: A Digital Art Contest

From 1st of May to 30th of October the ArTe contest is open for new media art contributions. The contest aims to encourage teenagers (13-15 years) to cooperate in meaningful projects in the production of new media art by focusing on cooperation, creativity, and openness of both process and content.

The ArTe contest is open both to international and national contributions, but the focus is Norwegian schools. Professor Letizia Jaccheri is the driving force of the contest, and she wants young people to reflect upon the use of information technology in digital art and open source.

The contest touches many areas of expertise, which are reflected in the variety among the sponsors and the diverse competences of the jury members. As a proud sponsor for this contest, we believe the ArTe contest will spark an interest for information technology and computer science in the participants.
