From 18th - 21st of May, the IEEE Congress on Evolutionary Computation (IEEE CEC 2009) took place in Trondheim at the Nova Conference Venue. The event brought together more than 470 researchers from 60 different countries all over the world. IEEE CEC 2009 included 3 keynotes, 12 tutorials, 300 oral presentations, poster sessions, competitions, and a rich social programme.
The congress was a stimulating forum for hundreds of scientists, engineers, educators and students from all over the world to disseminate their new research findings and exchange information on emerging areas of research in the fields.
Key persons from our department involved in IEEE CEC 2009 was: Pauline Haddow as Program Chair, Morten Hartmann and Christina Costa Santini as Local Chairs, Dragana Laketic as Finace Chair, and Gunnar Tufte as Poster Session Chair.
