From 14th until 16th of February, 50 young and inspired high school girls participated at the IT Camp for girls held at NTNU. The girls got three days packed with experiments, group work, and happenings which introduced them to some of the information technology present at the university.
The girls built their own small computers, designed iPhone applications through paper-prototyping, and followed lectures about IT security, IT in healthcare, and trying various gizmos related to information technology.
The IT Camp is organized by Jenter og data, and project manager Nina Kotte is proud to present the feedback from those who visited the camp. According the the feedback almost all of the girls will file an application to NTNU, and most will apply to IT related programmes of study.
