Jungle Rumble Won Competition

Friday 27th of August, the new computer science and informatics students gathered for the annual computer game competition which marked the end of their two week Teknostart and Realstart events.

The students have been working in groups, making computer games and learning about group dynamics. The teaching assistants nominated ten computer games for a final demonstration, and a student vote.

Jungle Rumble won the student's vote with a total of 102 votes. It was created by the following computer science students: Marius Malvik, Joakim Hommeland, and Sigve Sebastian Farstad. The Student Game of Life won 2nd place with 34 votes, and BadCom Riverrun games won 3rd place with 32 votes. All of the students who developed the top three games each won a NOK 500 Tapir gift certificate.

 

To run any of the nominated games:

  1. Install Scratch.
  2. Download the a game file from the list below.
  3. Open the file from the Scratch application.
