JavaZone HD at Gløshaugen

JavaZone HD at Gløshaugen

JavaZone took place in Oslo from 8th to 9th of September - but for the first time in the JavaZone history, the entire event was streamed live in HD to the NTNU campus at Gløshaugen in Trondheim.

JavaZone HD was a brand new concept which aimed at involving students from Trondheim in the knowledge exchange made possible by JavaZone. The event was free for students to attend and the different speakers were streamed simultaneously to the F1 auditorium at Gløshaugen.

Those who attened were able to choose which speaker to listen to thru the headset. Having all the speeches appear in the same auditorium should create a more intimate experience. At peak performance on 8th of september, around 200 students participated in the streamed event.

JavaBin, the organization behind JavaZone, aims to establish contacts and to promote exchange of knowledge, experience and views between those who are interested in Java technology. The JavaZone HD was an attempt to involve students and share knowledge with them to a greater extent.
