Last Friday and Saturday, the Trondheim Science Fair (Forskningstorget) was arranged by NTNU at the marked place in Trondheim. From our department, Associate Professor Ekaterina Prasolova-Førland and PhD candidate Mikhail Fominykh presented the Virtual Campus of NTNU and Science Fair in Second Life at their stand.
In Second Life, you can explore the NTNU Virtual Campus by flying a tour around and into the Hovedbygget, Sentralbygget, and Studentersamfundet buildings. Ekaterina and Mikhail have worked in co-operation with the NTNU Library (UBiT), our department and the Faculty fo Social Sciences and Technology Management (SVT) to create the NTNU Virtual Campus.
The virtual Science Fair is part of the NTNU Virtual Campus project. In the virtual version of the Science Fair, the stands display diverse NTNU research from both humanities, socal sciences and information technology, and from EU projects.
The Science Fair is part of the annual nationwide National Science Week event, where researchers make science and research available to the public. The National Science Week has emerged as Scandinavia’s foremost arena for publicly-targeted information about science and research activities.
