12th of October, Magnus Jahre completed his trial lecture and thesis defense. He will eventually be awarded the PhD degree. Professor Lasse Natvig supervised Magnus' PhD work at the Computer Architecture and Design research group, with Dr.ing. Torstein Heggebø and Professor Mads Nygård as co-supervisers.
The trial lecture, The use of GPUs for High-Performance Computing, had a record breaking number of attendants, as students from both the Parallel Computing and the Heterogeneous and Green Computing courses attended the trial lecture.
