20th of December, Throvald Natvig completed his trial lecture and thesis defense. He will eventually be awarded the PhD degree. Associate Professor Anne C. Elster supervised Thorvald's PhD work at the Algorithms, HPC, and Graphics research group.
Thorvald's trial lecture was titled: MPI-3 and future high performance computing (HPC).Give an overview and discuss how the proposed MPI-3 standard will address demands of performance and resiliency in future HPC.
