Collaborative Project with Stanford Formalized

On April 26th, NTNU and Stanford University signed a contract to formalize collaboration between research communities at the two universities.

The contract follows a visit to Stanford University by Thomas Østerlie (IDI), Vidar Hepsø (Statoil) and Petter G. Almklov (NTNU Social Research, Ltd) in late March. The visit and signing of the contract are parts of a research project funded by Statoil to foster long-term, interdisciplinary collaboration between NTNU and Stanford within petroleum-related research.

The Department of Petroleum Technology is local signatory of the contract, and Thomas Østerlie from our department will manage the research collaboration.

Interdisciplinary workshops on petroleum informatics are planned for the autumn. The workshops will be held both at Stanford and in Trondheim. Information about the workshops will be announced.
