Friday 9th of March, Professor Mads Nygård was elected Vice President of CESAER - the Conference of European Schools for Advanced Engineering Education and Research.
CESAER is an educational collaboration organization, which aims to provide high quality engineering education in Europe and to improve links between its members in research as well as in postgraduate and continuing education. CESAER currently consists of 57 institutions representing 25 different countries.
Nygård has also recently been appointed leader of the Research Council of Norway's committee for Strategic Projects - University Collages (SPH).
Last autumn, Nygård was reelected as leader of the National Board for Technology Education (Nasjonale Råd for Teknologiutdanning - NRT) at the Norwegian Association of Higher Education Institutions (UHR) and earlier that year, as Chairman on the board of the University Graduate Center at Kjeller (UNIK).
The Chair of the Executive Board for Engineering Education at NTNU now has many forums where he can help shape the technology education of tomorrow.
We wish to congratulate Mads on his new positions!
