I2CS 2012 in Trondheim

The 12th International Conference on Innovative Internet Community Systems (I2CS) took place in Trondheim from 13th to 15th of June. The annual I2CS conference was attended by 27 participants. The conference was organized by NTNU, Deutsche Telekom Laboratories and SINTEF, with IDI PhD candidate Leendert W. M. Wienhofen as conference chair.

The aim of the conference was to bring forward innovative solutions for technological and organizational challenges that surround ICT support for communities on next quality level.

Mobile users and pervasive systems pose new technological and organizational challenges, which challenge new research questions in a wide range of connected fields. In search of innovative solutions, inter-disciplinary collaboration among researchers and industry partners is essential. Hence, the goal of this conference is to bring together researchers, experts, and practitioners from various areas related to novel Internet Community Systems.
