Norwegian Game Awards 2012

Norwegian Game Awards 2012

Four of the seven prizes at this year's Norwegian Game Awards (NGA) went to students from our department. Sigurd Gran-Jansen, who has studied Informatics for two years, won both the Game of the Year (NOK 40 000) award and the Best Technical Achievement (NOK 10 000) award for his Mosquito Mania computer game.

The FUN RUN computer game won both the Mobile Game of the Year (NOK 15 000 + Samsung Galaxy III) award and the Gamer's Choice (NOK 5 000 + a travel for two worth NOK 10 000) award. FUN RUN was developed by the dirtyBit team (Nicolaj Petersen, Erlend Haugsdal, Martin Vagstad, Peder August Aune, Martin Sangolt and Marius Giske). We are proud to say that half of the team consists of students from our department.

The annual Norwegian Game Awards event was held on Thursday 30th of August in Trondheim. NGA is a national amateur game-development competition for students, and it is Norway’s largest game development competition.

The department congratulates all the winners!
