From 28th until 30th of October, 200 inspired high school girls participated at the Teknologi-camp (Technology Camp) for girls held at NTNU. The girls got three days packed with experiments, group work, and happenings which introduced them to some of the technology and related programmes of study present at the university.
The girls built their own small computers, designed iPad applications through paper-prototyping, hacked software, programmed Python, built lego robots and followed lectures about cybernetics, how computers can save the world, satellites, serious computer games and other technology related topics.
The camp is organized by Jenteprosjektet Ada, and project manager Nina Kotte is proud to present the feedback from those who visited the camp. According the feedback, almost all of the girls want to join technology based or natural sciences based programmes of study at NTNU.
