Trond Giske Visiting AppLab and Opening NAIP

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Trond Giske, opened the new Norwegian Acadamy for Intellectual Property (NAIP) on Tuesday this week. The ceremony took place at our department, and it was attended by Minister Trond Giske, Rector Torbjørn Digernes and Pro Rector Johan Hustad, among other guests.

Trond Giske also presented the new Stortingsmelding nr. 28 «Unike ideer, store verdier - om immaterielle verdier og rettigheter», a document that will lay the foundation for Norway's way of handling intellectual property in the years to come.

Afterwards the participants visited the new AppLab at NTNU. Trond Giske, Torbjørn Digernes, Johan Hustad and the guests were introduced to the Kahoot! mobile game developed by Professor Alf Inge Wang.

Wang had made an intellectual contest about intellectual property, rights and patents - with a few questions from the new "Stortingsmelding nr. 28". Pro Rector Johan Hustad won, closely followed by Minister Trond Giske.
