IEEE CIS Vice President for Conferences

IEEE CIS Vice President for Conferences

On Friday 21st of June, the IEEE CIS Administrative Committee in Mexico held a meeting where Professor Pauline Haddow was first nominated, and then voted in as Vice President (VP) Conferences of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society.

As Vice President Haddow becomes the Chair of the Conference committee and a voting member of the IEEE CIS Executive Committee. She will be responsible for all IEEE CIS sponsored and technically co-sponsored conferences.

There is now a 6 month period of overlap with the current VP Conferences to learn the role and participate as a non voting member of the executive Committee. Haddow will be taking over the position on 1st of January, 2014.

She has already served as a member of the conference Committee for four and a half years. Pauline Haddow will be both the first female and the first person from a Scandinavian University to hold the VP Conferences position.

We congratulate Pauline on the Vice President position!
