Former Students at the Center of a $153 Million Deal

Nokia to acquire Trolltech to  accelerate software strategy. Nokia offers NOK 16 in cash per Trolltech share. The Nokia offer therefore values Trolltech at about $153 million (NOK 844 million).

Trolltech was founded by Håvard Nord (CEO of Trolltech) and Eirik Chambe-Eng (Chief Troll). Both are former students from the department. The deal will earn Håvard Nord about NOK 116 millions, and Eirik Chambe-Eng about NOK 115 millions.
