Arne Halaas Receives NTVA's Honorary Award

Professor Arne Halaas will receive the Norwegian Technology Science Academy (NTVA) Honorary Award for his research on search technology and his role in the establishment of the Norwegian search community.

Arne Halaas was a research pioneer in search technologies and a founder of the search community at NTNU. The unique search community at NTNU was why Google, Yahoo! and Fast all established research facilities in Trondheim.

NTVA's honorary award is an annual award given to those who in an outstanding way have developed new technology for the best of Norwegian society and the development of Norwegian industry.
