Researchers' Night 2014

Friday 26th of September, the 10th Researchers' Night event took place at NTNU. 1100 high school students had signed up for an interesting night at the university; with 35 stands, 9 lectures, 3 lab excursions, which presented some of our ongoing research at NTNU.

The doors opened at 19:00 and fireworks marked the end of the event, around 22:30. The Researchers' Night event is part of the Norwegian Science Week (forskningsdagene), which is a nationwide annual event held to bring research and science to the public.

This year IDI was represented with five stands:

  1. Sanntidssimuleringer med grafikkort / Real time simulations using Graphic Cards by Associate Professor Anne C. Elster and her team
  2. Roboter med kunstig intelligens / Robots with artifical intelligence by Adjunct Associate Professor Anders Kofod-Petersen and the AI team
  3. Virtuelt St. Olavs med Octulus Rift / Virtual hospital with Octulus Rift by Associate Professor Ekaterina Prasolova-Førland and her team.
  4. ARK4 by the Associate Professor Michail Giannakos and the Mubil team.
  5. Visual Computing Lab by Professor Theoharis Theoharis and his team.
