From 14th to 15th of October the HelsIT conference took place in Trondheim. 375 participants had signed on for the conference.
The HelsIT conference has for 14 years been the meeting place where practitioners, government and researchers meet to share eHealth experience and insights in a Norwegian context.
The government is trying to establish continuity of care by centrally managed health records and services.
How can this be achieved? What are the challenges, and how will they be met? As the ICT projects grow larger, how can eGovernment play a role in making the correct systems? The conference also presented national activities within structured journals, decision support and protocol based systems.
NTNU, IDI and NSEP have arranged this conference in Trondheim with changing partners, but is now the sole host. In 2015, IDI will chair the conference with NTNU Videre as local organizers.
