TILES Won NOK 150.000

The TILES project has won a NOK 150.000 grant from NTNU Discovery. The project team consists of both IDI employees and students in collaboration with NTNU Technology Transfer (TTO).

TILES will make it easier for anyone to make cool technology-based gadgets. Your creativity should not be limited by your engineering skills! The idea is to create a hardware toolkit (think LEGO bricks) for rapid prototyping of electrical inventions for the Internet of Things

The team recently presented the idea during a Hackathon at the MIT Media Lab raising enthusiastic feedbacks. The plan is to launch a crowd funding campaign to commercialize TILES. The grant from NTNU Discovery will be used for development and testing of the TILES prototype.

The TILES team consists of Simone Mora, Monica Divitini, Francesco Gianni, Emanuele Di Santo, Silje Ødelien, Kjetil Mørkved and Marit Rødevand. Contact Simone Mora if you seek more information about the project.

We congratulate the team!
