24 September, Erik Smistad completed his trial lecture and thesis defence. He will eventually be awarded the PhD degree. Adjunct Assocciate Professor Frank Lindseth has supervised his PhD work at the Algorithms, HPC, and Graphics (AHG) research group. Co-supervisors have been Associate Professor Anne C. Elster and Adjunct Professor Toril A. Nagelhus.
The committee appointed to assess his thesis, trial lecture and defence consisted of; Associate Professor Tina Kapur (Brigham and Women’s Hospital, USA), Adjunct Professor Wolfgang Wein (ImFusion GmbH, Germany), and Professor Theoharis Theoharis (NTNU). Theoharis Theoharis was also the administrator of the assessment committee.
