TDT42 80, Spring 2013

This page is just for the semester start. I will be using It's Learning in the rest of the semester.

General Information:

Course Content: The course gives an overview of the main aspects of multi-agent systems, for example coordination of the behavior of various agents sharing the same environment. Both cooperative (e.g., collaborative problem solving) and selfish agents and interactions between them will be discussed. Central to the course is how agents take decisions in environments populated with several agents, how the amount of information they have about each other affect their decision and behavior, and how their behavior may change when there is possibility to communicate. Related to communication is the agent-specific communication languages and interaction protocols such as auctions, negotiations, etc.

Assignments: A practical part of the course is assignments/projects involving implementation of various aspects of multi-agent systems. Students will also present (in groups of at least two) papers.
