We end this paragraph with an overview of the two main subtypes of
- Deriver: It models tasks which can be automatically
executed without human intervention (the use of a compiler, for
- Interactor: It models human oriented activities, both
with and without tool support (i.e. the utilization of an
editor). All the high-level tasks are a subtype
of this one. The most relevant are:
- Project: which is associated with a transaction to
model complete software development projects and subprojects.
- Develop: which models the activities involving
humans (particularly suitable for modeling process steps at
software life-cycle granularity).
