Diamodl is a visual modelling language for the logic and behavior of a user interface (as opposed to the look & feel and device-specific interaction details). The Diamodl language cover constructs for data handling and flow and activation and deactivation. The data handling and flow is conceptually similar to data binding, a concept that many UI frameworks support. Data modelling is left to some other notation, e.g. UML. Activation and deactivation is based on hierarchical states (simpified Statecharts) and transitions.

Tool support

Diamodl has tool support within Eclipse: A graphical editor and supporting views for creating and editing Diamodl diagrams and a runtime that translates and executes Diamodl models.
