A few words about myself...

I am a Ph.D. student at the Department of Computer and Information Systems (IDI) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway. I am affiliated with the The Database Systems Group working with multimedia and video database management systems.

Research

My main area of research is "Storage and Delivery of Digital Video in Multimedia Database Management Systems". The last years I have been working on the following related projects:

Other professional related activities

As a part of my work with the Elvira video server I am administrating the departments ATM network. This network is used to connect several UNIX workstations to form a cluster for the Elvira video server.

I am also involved as database administrator for the departments Oracle database server.
