A few words about myself...

I am a Ph.D. student at the Department of Computer and Information Systems (IDI) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway. I am affiliated with the The Database Systems Group working with multimedia and video database management systems.

Other professional related activities

As a part of my work with the Elvira video server I am administrating the departments ATM network. This network is used to connect several UNIX workstations to form a cluster for the Elvira video server.

I am also involved as database administrator for the departments Oracle database server.

Tip for programmers

I am doing some C++ programming on the Elvira video server. A very useful tool for C/C++ programmers which I recommend is Purify. It has saved me for a lot of tedious debugging.
