LANGUAGE TECHNOLOGY: BussTUC - Intelligent Travel Scheduling

BusTUC is a natural language bus route system for Trondheim. It gives information about scheduled bus route passings, and has some information about the real passing times. AtB has installed GPS tracking on all the buses, giving access to real passing times and delays, and not only for Trondheim.

The project can be based on an existing advanced smart phone application (TABuss) with support for GPS localisation, connection to maps and voice input.

The current Bus Oracle system can answer questions from Trondheim, but what needs to be done to cover a greater part of Norway, or to include information about trams, boats, trains and airplanes as well?
